4. Main changes in new version 1.Reduced amount of chapters and appendices From 10 chapters and 6 appendices down to 7 chapters and 2 appendices due to more developed legislation basis. Chapters deleted are “Registration of the Grid Code participants”, “Market rules”, “Network services and pricing” and “ Transition rules”. New chapter “Balancing principles” is introduced. 2.Term - “derogation” is not used anymore because it was applied as delay for the dates when some particular requirements come into the force

5. Main difficulties To identify gaps between Latvian legislation, Grid Code, local and international standards and system operator requirements in order to create clear and transparent legal system of technical requirments for the existing and future customers of the Latvian power system That could be solved by continuously acquiring experience with new connections to the grid like Imanta CHP and Riga 1 CHP as well as existing ones and analyzing all processes from the technical and legal point of view
