The only way they felt they could achieve their dreams was by being rich, thus the crime spree. I believe the Behavioral theory best describes this crime duo. They were really never caught for any of their crimes (besides for being killed). They went on a two year spree and got away with most of it, thus being rewarded for there violent or destructive behavior. They also were very dramatic and often aimed to be like famous outlaws in the past.
