2 Continuum Overview COMMUNITY SERVICES HUD requires all communities receiving McKinney-Vento homeless services funds to establish a local Homeless Continuum of Care CoC assesses, plans, and prioritizes utilization of HUD funds CoC is required to submit an annual coordinated application for McKenney-Vento funds DuPage County Department of Community Services serves as the lead agency for the CoC

10 Estimated Needs COMMUNITY SERVICES Total Active Clients in Emergency Shelter or Street Outreach: 452 Those Who Meet “Chronic” Definition: 95 Total Veterans in Emergency Shelter or Street Outreach: 23 Veterans Who Meet “Chronic” Definition: 5

11 New Projects COMMUNITY SERVICES Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans - 4 units of PSH Opened July 1, 2015 DuPage PADS – 4 units of PSH Opened August 1, 2015 2016 Continuum of Care application includes 12 new units of PSH per year for 3 years
