Moving Forward

Now you've learned some basics in using Fedora desktop

Where to go next?

Like I was saying several times before

Google is your best friend

There are local communities which you can hang around with to learn more about Fedora

Or to ask for some support

But always remember, we are all humans

We are doing these voluntarily, under our free time

Don't abuse us too much (^-^)

And do pardon us if we made mistakes (which sometimes we did a lot of them)

Local Communities ● Fedora Malaysia ● http://fedora.foss.org.my http://fedora.foss.org.my ● #fedora-my at irc.freenode.net chat server ● Fedora-My-List mailing list at https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-my- list https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-my- list ● MyOSS ● http://lists.foss.org.my/ http://lists.foss.org.my/ ● #myoss at irc.freenode.net chat server

Upstream Community ● The best source is upstream ● Be involved in the mainline Fedora community ● #fedora at irc.freenode.net ● Fedora-list mailing list at ● https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list ● Fedora Forum at http://fedoraforum.orghttp://fedoraforum.org ● Planet Fedora (collection of blogs of Fedora Contributors) at http://planet.fedoraproject.orghttp://planet.fedoraproject.org

A recommended reading before you start going to meet the online communities

While there are no stupid questions, there are smart questions

Geeks love smart questions, they are challenges to us, make us quite happy to help people with smart questions

Make us feel the effort and time spent are worthy

Therefore, read this: http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html If you follow the guide truly, most of times you'll get better responses from the community ^-^

More reading materials ● Cathedral and the Bazaar ● http://www.catb.org/~esr/writings/cathedral- bazaar/cathedral-bazaar/ ● Linux is not Windows ● http://linux.oneandoneis2.org/LNW.htm ● O'Reilly Open Books ● http://oreilly.com/openbook/ ● And like many geeks agreed : Read The Fine Manual – its very important, really, no joking
