2. THE COUNTIES There are 32 counties in Ireland. The biggest county is Cork and the smallest county is Louth. The government is based in Dublin. Really Dublin is the Capital. Every county except for Kilkenny play Gaelic Football, but every single county in Ireland lay Hurling. Mayo is a very big county aswell and a lot of towns. But in every single county there are so much towns and they are all really big towns.

3. POLITICS There was an election in 2016 and there was a lot of politics. In the new Taoiseach election Enda Kenny from Castlebar, Mayo he got it again for this year. Michael D Higgins is the president of Ireland. The Presidents good serve fourteen years if they want to do that. They could resign at any time they want to.

4. GPO There are a lot of important places in Ireland. The GPO is very impotant and it was bombed in the 1916 easter rising. Padraig Pearse was the leader in the 1916 Easter Rising. There is a big population with over 4,000000 people living in Ireland. The General Post Office still has post. Were going to it for an exhibition for our school tour.

5. IMPORTANT PLACES There are a lot of important places. Croagh Patrick is a very, very important place. It is in Wesport in Mayo. St. Patrick spent 40 days and 40 nights and it’s named after him. There is a church on the top of Croagh Patrick. You have to climb Croagh Patrick at least 3 times. There is another important place, it’s in Knock, Mayo. It is a very important place and there are a lot of people visiting it every day. The last time the pope visited Knock was in 1979, lots of Christians and catholics went to Knock to meet him. The shrine was built there because Mary appeared in the old church over 100 years ago. There is a lots of people helping to preserve the flowers and plants which help keep the shrine looking sacred and clean.. That’s why when you go to the shrine it looks beautiful. You can also go to mass there during the summer. There are very long mass is during summer.

6. THE SPORTS IN IRELAND Gaelic, Handball and Hurling was made in Ireland. The sports that are played in Ireland are Gaelic Football, Soccer, Hurling, Handball, Cricket, Rugby, Rounders, Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Swimming, Golf, Athletics, UFC, Ausie Rules, Horse Riding, Boxing, Spikeball, Babmenten, Cannoying, Car Racing, Weight Lifting, Kayacking, Snooker and Darts. They are all very good sports. I do Athletics, Gaelic Football and Rugby. We play Gaelic Football and Soccer with the school.

7. THE SCHOOL 1916 EASTER RISING. We were saying about people in Ireland this year. Robert was Padraig Pearse, James was Eamon Devalera, Aisling was Contess Markovic, Sinéad was Cathlian Ni Hoolahon, Amanda was Elizabeth O’ Farrell, Luke was James Feeney, Enda was James Conolly, John was Joseph Mary Plunkett, (Me) (Padraig) was Thomas James Clarke, Keith was Séan McDiarmuda, Dylan was Eamon Ceannt and Kiefer was Thomas McDonagh. We had a very good day and there was refreshments after we did that.
