6 Exemption for Line Compressor I – Light Industrial districts restrict use of machines that exceed 50 hp: Provision dates back 50+ years when technology was different presumably intended to address noise Task Force established specific noise regulations for line compressors in the gas drilling ordinance without considering this provision. Task Force focused on landscaping, bufferyards and setbacks when evaluating “I” regulations Staff recommends that the controlling regulation be the gas drilling ordinance due to extensive discussion and public hearing
