2. Introduction This week we are learning about charts and bar graph. Each one of us is going to do a survey in the class to collect data, use the information to draw a bar graph, and then interpret the bar graph. Since I like to play basketball, I want to find out how many people in our class are in favor of basketball than other sports. My survey question is: “What is your favorite sport on weekend?” My guess is that there will be more people playing basketball than all other sports.

5. My Graph and Analysis Looking at my bar graph, this is what I found out: There are 7 people like basketball the most. Hiking and Bicycling both are the least favored outdoor activities on weekends. Swimming is the second favored outdoor activity on weekends. Other activities people like to do on weekends are going to the park, taking a walk, shopping, and rollerblading.

6. What I Learned My survey and bar graph proved that basketball is the most favorite outdoor activity in our class. When I was doing my survey, some people also told me that they like basketball, too, but they can’t play it often because they don’t have one at home. Therefore they can only play it during school time. I told them that we can have a play date together so they can enjoy playing basketball on weekends. This activity helps me find more friends to play basketball together. I really enjoyed it!
