2 Methodology Gathering of one year model data in netcdf format, daily on AeroCom server – BSC-DREAM8b – ECMWF-F026 (assimilating MODISaqua/terra) plus other versions – INCA-forecast plus other versions – NMMB-BSC Analysing daily fields of AOD, coarse mode AOD, emission, wet removal, load, surface concentration of dust Comparing to Aeronet data level 2, sun and sky mode – ( Total AOD@550 ) – Coarse mode AOD@550 Image results accessible via WMO-SDS model subset http://aerocom.met.no/cgi- bin/aerocom/surfobs_annualrs.pl?MODELLIST=WMO-SDS
