2  W.P.C (women political council) was a women group fighting against the Jim crow laws of the south that fueled or started the civil rights movement because they didn’t like the Jim crow laws and wanted their rights.  This was founded in 1946.  Members of the WPC was arrested for going against the Jim Crow segregation laws and were arrested.

3  The (m.i.a) Montgomery improvement association was a group lead by martin Luther king to improve the civil rights given to blacks.  Martin Luther king lead the civil rights in a peaceful way and he never believed in force to get your point across.  1963 march to Washington.  Delivered the I have a dream speech.

5  was a member of the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA) and a supporter of Marcus Garvey.  led the civil rights movements with retaliation.  Street gangster to get money.

6  The movement started on December 1, 1955 in Alabama, Montgomery.  the boycott started when Rosa parks didn’t want to leave her seat in the front of the bus to go to the back of the bus.  She was then arrested for her crime and sent to jail.

8  The boycott occurred the same time as Rosa Parks trial for 13 months.  Rosa parks was arrested on the “ Jim crow” laws of segregation in the south.

9  The Boycott was a success and because the minority group made up ¾ of the population and it posed a threat to Montgomery's economy; along with a social threat to the white mans rule in the city.  The protest or boycott influenced the courts to rule segregation on the bus unconstitutional.

10  Was meeting place for SCLC ( Southern Christian Leadership Conference).  Is where a claimed klu Klan Klux member bombed the church of blacks. (Robert Chambliss)  Killing four girls and injuring many more.

11  CORE (Congress on Racial Equality)  Supported the blacks movement and tried to give them the right to vote.  The CORE sent eight white and eight black people to the south to test the south’s supreme court and they ruled it unconstitutional
