2. My Inspiration What has inspired me to become an art teacher has been experience working with younger children from the time I was 13 years old. Many of my teachers, beginning from elementary and continuing to my present graduate studies, also continually inspire my decision to share art through the world of education. Though my original degree was in graphic art, I realized that office work really was not for me. I needed to spend my life working with people, sharing skills and bringing out the best in others. Teaching art is the best of all worlds for me, allowing me to share my creativity with others as well as allowing others to share and learn from me.
