9 Where can you find soft edges?

10 Your artwork must have 15 or less large shapes Mostly Non-objective Hide one shape that is representational and shows something special about you.

11 Monochromatic This word means ONE COLOR You will learn to make your entire painting today with just one color Which color will you choose?

12 What did you learn last year about the color wheel?

13 You will need to choose a primary or secondary color for your painting.

15 Mixing WHITE + HUE= TINT So what do you think Hue means? What does Tint mean? Can you find Tints?

16 Mixing BLACK + HUE=SHADE What hue was used? What does Shade mean? Can you find SHADES?

17 When you return to your seat count your shapes and write the number of shapes you have on the back.

18 TODAY’S DEMOSTRATION When students are ready we will gather to center table and I will demonstrate how to mix TINTS today by adding more white each time I paint. You will have your own paint tray. I will also show you how to drag the paint brush to get a HARD EDGE.
