2 Think about… 1. What is learning? 2. Why do we learn?

3 Task 1 Discuss your ideas about how you learn best. Make sure every member of the group has the opportunity to speak. Produce a mind map to show your group’s discussion. How do your learn best?

4 An example How do your learn best? Independent work The teacher gives me a challenge. I have to research and investigate in order to complete it.

5 Presentations Present your group’s findings to the rest of the class. Explain your group’s ideas about how you learn best.

6 So what is the perfect lesson? Using the ideas from all of the groups you are now going to design your perfect lesson. This plan must include: Examples that would help you learn. Explanations of these choices. Remember, this lesson must be designed to help you learn in the best possible way!

7 Four corners vote! How do you learn best? Stand in the corner that best represents your preferred learning style. Be ready to explain your position!
