2 Mobile Voting Sysem Mobile voting is a cross-platform mobile voting system It provides an avenue for free and fair elections, void of any form of violence, rigging, manipulation and/or tampering since it is real time. Mobile voting targets all areas where voting is done. NEIP 2015

6 Problem Definition Queue: In Nigeria today, virtually every election (from local level to national level) requires voters to queue in order to cast their vote Time frame: the voting system currently in use in Nigeria today is time consuming Corruption: Due to the delay in election results collation and announcement, this may lead or give rise to some forms of election rigging and manipulation. Security: there are several cases in which people don’t come out as a result of insecurity of life. NEIP 2015

13 Our Solution It will make end user to cast their vote wherever they are no matter their location or irrespective of their location. 23 Internet Voting NEIP 2015 The internet voting subsystem is a client-side application system which electorates can use to cast their ballots outside the poll site anywhere and at anytime (though within the voting period timeframe) on election day.

24 Application Server NEIP 2015 The developed application server is a software framework dedicated to the efficient execution of procedures (programs, routines, scripts) for supporting the construction of applications. The sever has five menu options, namely New Contestant (use to register new contestants), Voter’s List (use to view list of registered electorates), Registered Party (use to register new political parties), Election Process (use to initiate and terminate a particular election) and Election Result (use to view the result of a particular election).

25 Client System NEIP 2015 The developed client-side systems are the subsystems for registration, poll site voting and internet voting. The client-side subsystems interface the electorates to the Mobile-voting system during the registration and voting processes.
