2 WHO I AM….. Current Job: Juvenile Probation/Parole Officer Previous Job: Juvenile Correctional Offsicer BA Criminal Justice: Stephen F. Austin State University 2012 AAS Criminal Justice: Angelina College 2011 Interest: Shopping, Movies, Music, Family Time, Books, Crime Shows, Basketball & Football Fan, My Jack-Russell Terrier Mix

3 K-12 EDUCATION I attended a public school in a military town in Texas. A key experience in school that made a lasting impact on my life would be the first and only time I ever failed a class. I failed Algebra II my sophomore year and I had to go to summer school. I never had problems with school, but for some reason I never really connected with my teacher. She basically taught from her desk, resistant to help and just not really a approachable person overall. I learned a lot from that experience, I knew that for once its okay to fail at something as long as you try again and that sometimes you have to seek help from others. I passed Algebra II with a high B that following summer.

4 THE FUTURE….. In the future I hope to be some type of instructor in the criminal justice or law enforcement sector. I want to be involved in providing others with training or some sort of specific knowledge to help them towards their career or education goals. I feel that a Master’s degree will help me become a more qualified candidate for future career opportunities. A Master’s degree specifically in Education will provide me with the necessary tools to successfully educate others.

5 “EDUCATION EQUALS KNOWLEDGE & KNOWLEDGE EQUALS POWER”
