1 After washing non washing Supporting Information Fig. S1 Lipid attachment on nitrocellulose membranes before and after washing. Di16:0, di18:0, 16:0-18:2, and yolk PA (50  g) were immobilized on a nitrocellulose filter. 1 h later, one filter was washed with washing buffer for 3 h, followed by another 1 h for drying. The Lipids on filter were visualized by iodine vapor. control 16:0-18:2 PA di16:0 PA di18:0 PA yolk PA

2 pld  1 pld  1 NaCl Fig. S2 ABA accumulation induced by NaCl. Four-day-old WT and pldα1 seedlings were transferred to 1/2 MS solution containing 75 mM NaCl. ABA contents in the seedlings were determined using ABA analysis kit according to the method by the manufacturer (Sigma). Values were means ± SE of three replicates.

3 pld  1 Fig. S3 Effect of NaCl on stomatal closure. The seedlings were treated with 150 mM NaCl for 0.5 h, and stomatal apertures were determined. Values are means ± SE; n = 60 of each genotype per experiment. Data are from three experiments. The asterisk indicates that the mean value is significantly different from that of the control, one asterisk for P < 0.05 and two asterisks for P < 0.01.
