3 Jackson was born in Waxhaw. That is located on the bored of North Carolina and South Carolina. PLACE OF BIRTH

4 Andrew Jackson was 3 when his father passed. The Revolutionary War was soon after his mother became a widow, but later on she got remarried. Jackson and his family did not live in the best place. At the age 17 Andrew set out to be come a lawyer. JACKSON’S CHILDHOOD

10 Jackson wanted to rotate government offices so nobody would do something fishy. The spoil system which is the firing of political enemies and hiring of friends. Andrew’s enemies did not like the spoil system say that “The newly hired were not fit for their jobs.” SPOILS SYSTEM

11 Andrew stopped having cabinet meetings because of the fighting between the advisors. He made an unofficial group of friends and advisors which was called his kitchen cabinet. KITCHEN CABINET

12 The president rejects a bill for the bank of the United States. He believes that it gives a unfair advantage to the worthy cost of the public. THE POWER OF THE VETO

13 In 1832 Jackson issued a proclamation to South Carolina that states can not get rid of federal law. South Carolina believed that the tariff acts were unfair. Congress passed the a force act that allowed the uses of military force agents any state the resisted the tariff acts. NULLIFICATION CRISIS

15 John Russ who was part cherokee and the cherokee took steps to keep their land by suing the stat of Georgia. The case went to the U.S. supreme court. The ruling was that the states could not use control over the tribes. However, U.S. government forced them to move. TREATMENT OF CHEROKEE INDIAN

16 Besides the fact that Jackson owned slaves, his big discrimination was against the Indian. DISCRIMINATION

17 This act was signed by Andrew Jackson, which forced Indians to relocate to unsealed lands west of the Mississippi. INDIAN REMOVAL

18 Andrew Jackson was a very heroic man based on his military background. Andrew was known as the peoples president. He was the nations first president during the changing of Americas politics, forming the Democratic party. CONCLUSION
