2 Types of Insurance Basic Liability (required by WA ST law) 25/50/10 Collision Damage to your vehicle if you are at fault Comprehensive Damage to your vehicle other than in a collision Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Injury to you or others in your car regardless of who is at fault Uninsured Motorist Covers you if you are hit by an uninsured driver High Risk Insurance (AKA – Assigned Risk) High Cost Insurance for the “uninsurable” offered by the state

3 Insurance Terms Liability: The cost to you for damage you cause to others Deductable: The amount you agree to pay BEFORE the insurance company begins to pay ($250 and up) Premium: The amount you agree to pay to be covered by the insurance company. The amount will vary depending on the type of coverage you want and other variable Financial Responsibility Law: You are required to be able to make restitution for any damages you cause. That is why Minimum Liability Insurance is required
