WHAT IS THE EVENT?  This is an event that is commemorated with the mass band of American and Japanese musicians presenting 'A Gift of Music' in front of The USS Battleship Missouri Memorial in Pearl Harbor designed to inspire peace between the U.S and Japan and to honor those that died during the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

5. WHEN IS IT HELD?  Every December 7 of the year this event is held.

HISTORY OF EVENT  The attack on Pearl Harbor, also known as the Battle of Pearl Harbor, the Hawaii Operation or Operation AI by the Japanese Imperial General Headquarters, and Operation Z during planning, was a surprise military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, in the United States Territory of Hawaii, on the morning of December 7, 1941. 7. IT’S IMPORTANCE  The surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, by the Japanese Imperial Navy was of significant importance because it ignited the fury of the United States' entrance into World War II. The following day, December 8, 1945, the United States declared war on Japan.

8. WHAT IS IT’S MEANING  The meaning of this event is to bring peace between both the Japanese and Americans, and to honor the soldiers who died in the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
