3 Post WWI Standard of living increased for most Americans lived in urban areas The economy prospered-Americans wanted to forget troubles of the war: Frivolous spending habits Illegal liquor Immorality

4 The 1920’s AKA-The Jazz Age/Roaring Twenties Jazz was very popular in society—Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington Period of pleasure and reckless exuberance Flappers-liberated young women; wore short skirts, wore make-up, short hair, smoked and were unconventional
