ACTA Modular Drill

2 ACTA Modular Drill series - About the new modular drill – the LBV16M The Atlas Copco modular drill is designed with operator ergonomics in focus. The handle is made to give a comfortable grip without any sharp edges. The changing of angle heads is also designed to be fast and with an assuring feeling when the quick change mechanism engage. The LBV16M is based on the standard angle drill, the LBV16. It features the same powerful motor, high quality angle head and light and compact design. LBV16M is a reliable partner in ever changing drilling applications.

3 ACTA Modular Drill series - Key benefits with the ACTA modular drill  Increase flexibility in hand-held drilling processes  Quick drill bit changes  Cheaper and easier to change a worn out angle heads  Possibility to use the tool in several applications  Possibility to use the tool if the application changes  Low air consumption  Lubrication free motor  High power to weight ratio

4 - Features of the Atlas Copco modular drill ACTA Modular drill Spindle lock Quick and easy drill bit exchange Index able head The head can be positioned in any direction for accessibility Variable speed Optimal speed for optimal drilling 3D exhaust Adjust the exhaust flow in any direction Ergonomic Soft grip High power lubrication free motor No more oil aerosols, for safer and cleaner working environments Color coding For easy identification Quick change system Easy to use and robust quick change design for high durability Same length as the standard LBV16

6 ACTA Modular Drill series - About the new modular drill Quick change system The quick change mechanism works the same as CP, but with a different design The mechanism operates in a forward direction for easy handling and to minimize any gaps to the body and actual mechanism, this minimizes the amount of dust that can enter the motor unit The angle heads Same angle head gears as in the LBV16 A freewheel for easy engage of the angle head into the motor unit The offering now will include heads with max 5 mm (.2 inch) collet,or ¼’’-28 internal thread in 90, 34, 30, 360 and straight heads. Straight head has a chuck capacity of ¼” -91 heads are under development The motor unit Same motor as the LBV16,.4 hp as minimum Same noise and vibration levels as the LBV16 – 75 dB(A) and <2.5 m/s2 Safety lever as standard – we think operators will change heads without disconnecting the hose Low speed motors are under development 500-1500 rpm
