6 A system at the European level to allow enhanced access of researchers to appropriate clusters of scientifically relevant research facilities.

7 INFRAPOLAR The INFRAPOLAR platform is a large-scale strategic coordination initiative to support the networking, synchronisation and trans-national access to more than 70 European and International research stations in the Polar Regions (Arctic and Antarctic). The Polar Assets controlled by 26 countries European and International partners will form the most comprehensive backbone for climate and Environmental Observation ever assembled and is a major vehicle for implementing governmental Agreements on the usage of research Facilities.
