2 Principles remain the same. Build a culture of safeguarding. Don't be reluctant to question unsafe practice. Use cause for concern procedures. Understand whistleblowing policy. Keeping Children Safe: emphasised your individual duty to see matters through. FGM: legal duty to report.

3 Vulnerable and at risk register. Let's review who is on the list. Do we need to add / remove children? Let's review the commitments we make to these children. Are these commitments in place? Is the child making expected academic and social progress? What are we doing to engage parents?

4 PREVENT Update. All staff to undertake on line Home Office training package by September 2017 to satisfy their performance management obligations. www.elearning.prevent.homeoffice.gov.uk Takes about 45 minutes and is very well presented.

5 Safeguarding Update. Educare on-line programmes: Child protection Child Protection in Education Child Exploitation and Online Safety Safeguarding Adults Mental Capacity safeguardingadmin@rcdow.org.uk One to be completed by Setember 2017 for performance management.

6 SIMS / Early Essence, so what? Use data to close gaps in last six weeks. Use data to inform receiving teachers. Use data to better plan for next year. Use the damned data! Next year, mastery and groups. %'s for meeting year expectations.
