4. MEDIAN MIDDLE value in a set of data when they are in numerical order  To find the median: 1. Arrange the data in numerical order from least to greatest 2. Cross off pairs from the ends of the list until you meet in the center 3. The middle value is the median!  If there are TWO middle values, average them to find the median.

5. EXAMPLE  The Jameson family drove through 7 states on their summer vacation. Gasoline prices varied from state to state. What is the median gasoline price?  $1.79, $1.61, $1.96, $2.09, $1.84, $1,75, $2.11

7. MODE MOST OCCURING value in a data set  When arranging the data, the mode has the most repeated values.
