3 Was the 1914-18 war really a World war? Study the statistics on the casualties in WW1 & answer these questions: 1.Which country had the most deaths? 2.Which Great Power (Germany, France, Russia, UK Austria-Hungary) nation suffered the least casualties? 3.Who had the most civilian deaths? 4.If you have a calculator, work out which countries lost the biggest portion of its people during the war? Work it out by looking at each countries total population and finding out percentage of that died. 5.Colour on your blank map the countries that lost 0-1%, 1-2%, 2-3% and above 3% in different colours 6.How many continents were involved? 7.Conclusion: Do you think the 1914-18 war should be remembered as a World War?
