23. 23 When your child is stuck with a regular word, use a masker to help your child look at parts of words in different ways. You can split words: letter by letter c-a-t in chunks fl-at in syllables hos-pit-al

24. 24 On page 22 in your booklet are regular words we can sound out. Where would you split them? In pairs, one person be the younger child and one be the Crew. The Crew need to use a masker and say parts of the word so the younger child can put the parts together. Have a go with the masker and say parts of the word for your child to put together.
