9 www.mdrt.ro Types of Activities financed within:  Cross-border cooperation  Cross-border cooperation – projects of accesibility, environment and risks prevention, economic and social development and „people to people actions at the inner and external borders of the EU”;  Transnational cooperation  Transnational cooperation – actions and development of networks to lead to integrated territorial development in fields such as: inovation, environment, accesibility and urban development;  Interregional cooperation  Interregional cooperation – transfer of experience and good practice between EU Regions, by constitutine a network between the EU towns, as well as between the EU researchers.. 9

10 www.mdrt.ro Specific Elements for ETC At least two criteria to be fulfilled. Each Programme can establish its own rules. Joint projects:  Common development  Common Implementation  Common Staff  Common financing ! 10

11 www.mdrl.ro Specific Elements for ETC Programmes Partnership between the Member states (financed from EFRD) between Member and Non Member states (financed from ENPI and IPA); a Lead-Partner has to be elected; Each programme has a unique budget; Granting non reimbursable financing, challenging within Public Calls for Proposals of Projects; co-financing rate: - for the Programmes financed from EFRD and IPA: max. 85% from community funds 13% State Budget Contribuion min. 2% beneficiary’s own contribution - for ENPI financed Programms: 90% from community funds 8% State Budget Contribution 2% Romanian Beneficiary own contribution 11
