21. Context of Parksec  What we are  The organisation responsible for managing and marketing the proactive patrolling scheme in the Parks through one service provider.

Why Parksec ?  Organisation totally focused on security  We have experience from a community perspective of dealing with a community based scheme  We have a very good track record reducing crime by 90% and consistently achieving this  We have put our money where our mouth is, rolling out 66 cctv camera’s since our last feedback meeting (2 years) and an extra vehicle

24. Meetings: – Weekly sales meetings with CORTAC to review activities – Weekly security briefings with SAPS and security providers – Monthly Parksec committee meetings – with CORTAC – Monthly CSF (Community Safety Forum) meetings with SAPS, security providers and RA reps.
