Piano By: Javan Junatas

Introduction The topic I would like to present to you is about the piano. I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano after hearing certain songs being played while I watch my favorite shows. So it inspired me to learn how to play it, but I haven't really learned yet.

History The piano was inspired by many string instruments dating back to 1709. Instruments including the harpsichord, spinet, and virginal. String instruments produced sound by the vibrating’s from the tightening of iron wires. They created vibrations by being hit, plucked, or struck. The wires were stretched over bows, gourds, or placed in boxes in order to amplify the sound that was produced.

Digital Pianos Although digital pianos are a lot more inexpensive compared to a real piano, with our technology growing so quickly, top piano companies can provide you with a verity of features that a real piano couldn't offer. For example, most digital pianos have an on screen display to indicate what key your pressing. Others might have lights under the keys when you press on then, making it easier to memorize a certain song.

Traditional Piano While the basic design of the acoustic piano is still similar to the first models produced around the 1700, manufactures are including innovations at a rapid pace. Some people are relying to find special woods or newly available materials that can make them more durable and the tonality of the piano stable. The most popular acoustic piano is a grand. Grand pianos are usually used during concert performances. There are also many high quality baby grands that are designed to meet the needs of a home owner and a pianist of all levels.

Conclusion Overall, I think the piano is a wonderful instrument. It may take sometime to learn how to play it, but I think it will be worth the while, playing difficult songs flawlessly could be very satisfying, you'll never be bored, having new ways to play, new approaches to playing, and always, a new song to learn.
