3 Based at all centres Open 23-29 Dec 2010 Shift times 1200 - 1900 hours CC Massage Service

4 What we do Provide a valued service for our guests Ask the guest about any medical problems they may have Let the guest talk if they want to Ensure that guests do not remove any item of clothing from the waist down

5 What we do 40 minutes for each session 25-30 minutes ‘hands-on’ time Take a 15-20 minute break after every 3 or 4 sessions

6 What we don’t do! Ask guests questions about their personal circumstances (unless they choose to talk about them with you) Give any personal details to guests, even our professional contact details Stay on your own in a room with a guest

7 Please do not Massage a guest if you feel uncomfortable Massage a guest without checking for contraindications (fever, rashes, inflamation etc.) verbally before you start Make promises that you can’t keep When in doubt, do not offer the service

8 What is provided? Towels Massage oil Massage tables

10 Be flexible & work as a team Turn up for your shifts on time Dress in comfortable, warm clothes Bring additional layers of clothing Bring only small amounts of money Please do not give money to our guests Important points to remember

12 What happens when you arrive Present a copy of your shift confirmation email Your name ticked off shift list Get your services badge Report to the shift office Ask for the Services Liaison

13 Who is the Services Liaison? A key volunteer on each shift Member of the shift team The liaison between the services & the shift team Support for you during the shift

14 When you are in the CC centre Familiarise yourself with the centre Find out what is going on each day Other services Activities Entertainments
