When you are finish, keep the worksheet to study for the Civil War and Reconstruction Test that you will take in approximately 1 week. 3.Pick up the “The War in North Carolina” worksheet from me. Part 1 – Obviously to figure the amount of increase, you simply subtract – To figure the percent of increase, you must divide the price from 1865 by the price from 1862, then move the decimal to make it a percentage (how far do you move the decimal?) The number will be BIG. Part 2 – Multiple the total number (population, railroads, exports) by the percentage given. (you will have to convert the percentage back into the decimal. How is that done?)
