It will include the significant parameters that affect the topics and highlight any knowledge gaps. The 'About' tab will provide the following types of information depending on the side menu topic selected: - Definitions of the different process involved in biochar production - Definitions of the types of technology available for various processes involved in biochar production. - The significant operating parameters that affect biochar production. - A guideline on the types of feedstock available - Soil characterisation and the relationship to biochar mechanisms - The types of applications and field trials that biochar is currently being used. - A guideline to the significant parameters that affect the economics of biochar production. Users would have the opportunity to comment on case studies or submit their own case study or explanation of field trial within a rigid template. Latest results from field trials or case studies could be posted as comments. It is anticipated that some side menu topics might link to the same case studies. Users can respond to topics freely. The discussion area would also provide means for posting revised documents that might be downloaded from the design tools area. Scenarios could also be proposed in this area for design development. Information from the discussion area would be moderated and assessed to update the other tabs with the latest information and design tools.
