8 Ph.D. Degree Only through Engineering 90 hours: –15 courses –research Dissertation Oral/Written Examinations: –Comprehensive: knowledge of research area –Qualifying: proposed research topic –Final: defense of dissertation

10 3/2 Program Designed for those who want to obtain both BS and MS degrees Allows taking 12 hours of graduate courses (5000 level approved by Graduate Coordinator) in senior year –count toward both degrees! Must satisfy all requirements of BS degree Can hold a TA or RA position as a senior

11 3/2 Program Options: –Engineering: BS in CEN (126) + ME in CEN (30-33): 144-147 hrs BS in CEN (126) + MS in CEN (30-33): 144-147 hrs –Liberal Arts and Sciences: BS in CIS (120) + MS in CIS (30-33): 138-141 hrs

12 3/2 Program Minimum Admission Requirements GRE: 1100 (V+Q) TOEFL: 600 GPA: >= 3.3 3 of 4 Courses: –CIS 3020 - Introduction to CIS –COT 3100 - Applications of Discrete Structures –CDA 3101 - Introduction to Computer Organization –COP 3530 - Data Structures and Algorithms Admission is competitive!
