2 -Nonobjective art is another way to refer to Abstract art or nonrepresentational art. -Essentially, the artwork does not represent or depict a person, place or thing in the natural world. -Usually, the content of the work is its color, shapes, brushstrokes, size, scale, and, in some cases, its process.

9 Wassily Kandinsky Born in Moscow, December 4, 1866 Around 1913 he began the first totally abstract works in modern art; –no reference to objects –derived inspiration and titles from music.

10 Wassily Kandinsky Produced abstract and figurative works that had brilliant colors and complex patterns. Taught at the Moscow Academy of Fine Arts and at the Bauhaus in Germany.

24 What Non-Objective design does NOT include Stars and peace signs are recognizable objects…. So they DO NOT WORK!!! No faces, tables, chairs, houses, cars or any kind of object.
