1 Disparities Data Action Group Summary December 16, 2005

2 2 Background Reducing/Eliminating Health and Disease Disparities Workgroup identified related action steps: 1.Build on lessons learned in minority health disparities project 2.Promote routine data collection of at least race, ethnicity, primary language, place of birth, disability status, and income level on all data gathered among Kansas residents; develop an operational definition for each standard data element 3.Promote use of technology to address data gaps and needs, opportunities to exchange data

Promote routine data collection and reporting of at least race, ethnicity, primary language, place of birth, disability status, and income level on all data gathered among Kansas residents.
