4. Glenn’s Family Glenns father was a tobacco farmer and attorney named Clammers Glenn His mothers name was Annie Dodge In 1878 Glenn married Nina Deaderick of Knoxville, Tennessee Glenn also had two children named Clammers and Rebecca

5. Governor Glenn was the Governor from 1905-1909 Glenn was a Democratic Governor Glenn was known as the “Prohibition Governor” because of his successful companion to ban liquor statewide in 1908 Glenn was also a popular public speaker for a Presbyterian church

6. After Governor After his turn in office Glenn returned to the practice of law in Winston-Salem He was also an officer of the North Carolina National Guard and a member of the anti-saloon league.
