WIRELESS CHARGING USING MICROWAVES -INNOVATION AMPLIFIED_ PRESENTED BY- M.DURGA RANI ECE-III/IV EMAIL:mullapudi.durga@gmail.com K.VARA LAKSHMI ECE-III/IV EMAIL:varalakshmi.buddy@gmail.com

The main objective of this current proposal is to make the recharging of the mobile phones independent of their manufacturer and battery make. The additon of a sensor,a rectenna and a filter. The message signal using special kind of antennas called slotted wave guide antenna at a frequency is 2.45GHZ.Thus the more you talk themore is your mobile phone charged

THE ELECTROMAGNETIC SPECTRUM:  The electromagnetic spectrum of an object is the characteristic distribution of electomagnetic radiation emitted or absorbed by that particular object.  These are divided into two types: 1.Electric field 2.Magnetic field

MICROWAVE REGION OF THE ELECTROMAGNETIC SPECTRUM  The frequency selection is important aspect in transmission.  Here we have selected the license free 2.45GHZ.  The next higher part of the radio electromagnetic spectrum where the frequencies are above 30GHZ and below 100GHZ are called millimeter waves.

TRANSMITTER DESIGN:  The cavity magnetron is a high powered emmision tube that generates microwaves using the interaction of a stream of electrons with a magnetic field.  The resonant cavity magnetron variant of the earlier magnetron tube was invented by Randal and Boot in 1940. The magnetron

RECEIVER DESIGN: The rectenna  A rectenna is also scanning an tracking array in star wars universe.  Some experimentations has been done with inverse rectennas.  It converts electricity into microwave  Energy and efficiency is much lower.

The process of Rectification: The aim of this study is to make a low cost power rectifier for low and high power levels at a frequency of 2.45 GHz with good efficiency of rectifying operation. The objective also is to increase the detection sensitivity at low levels of power

SENSOR CIRCUITRY:. In India the operating frequency of the mobile phone operators is generally 900MHz or 1800MHz for the GSM system for mobile communication.

APPLICATIONS: This technology can potentially be used in a large variety of applications, including consumer, industrial, medical and military. Its aim is to reduce our dependence on batteries. Further applications for this technology include transmission of information it would not interfere with radio waves and thus could be used as a cheap and efficient communication device without requiring a license or a government permit.transmission of informationradio waves

ADVANTAGES:  Unaffected by day or night cycle, weather or seasons.  This is a ecofriendly system.  No need for electric rooms or meter closets.  Reduction in E-waste

DISADVANTAGES:  The resonance condition should be satisfied or else an error exits and there is no possibility of power transfer.  If there is a possibility of strong ferromagnetic material presence causes low power transfer due to radiation.

FUTURE SCOPE:  Commercial Implementation of wireless electricity is being done by wireless corporation  Japan is planning to put solar panels in space for wireless power generation.

CONCLUSION: Thus this paper successfully demonstrates a novel method of using the power of the microwave to charge the mobile phones without the use of wired chargers. Thus this method provides great advantage to the mobile phone users to carry their phones anywhere even if the place is devoid of facilities for charging. A novel use of the rectenna and a sensor in a mobile phone could provide a new dimension in the revelation of mobile phone.
