What is PTA?  Stands for Parent Teacher Association  Local parent group formally affiliated with state and National PTA  PTA has dozens of paid employees  Most National and State revenues come from local PTA dues  Paying dues is mandatory in order to cover the estimated $700 National dues and insurance

4. What is PTO?  Stands for Parent Teacher Organization  An Independent parent group  Has no official headquarters; there are no employees to pay.  Any dues or fees collected remain with Parklane ES instead of giving a portion to a state or National organization

5. How do I join Parklane’s PTO?

6. Membership is Easy  We are signing parents and teachers up for $5 TODAY!!  We need officers too. If interested, please indicate that you’d like to nominate yourself or someone else on the PTO membership sheet
