If we would like to help students to change - it is important to know what we can do to motivate them to change. How does our personality influence people? What kind of personality motivates others to learn?

5 Exercise What kind of teacher can motivate students to learn - what they do, What do teachers do, how they behave, who they are, what are their personality traits/ personality characteristics? We would like to give seven most important characteristics. What do they do? Who are they?

8 Exercise In this exercise one person will try to convince the other to like what he/she does not like.

11 Influential people use the wheel of impact. In the middle of the circle there are our attitudes.

12 Exercise in pairs. We will ask a number of questions, not fewer than 5. The first question can be: Why do you not like it, or what is the reason that you do not like it?

16 You should answer the questions: What do I get out of it, what benefits? How will my life change in a positive way if I learn this? Who will I be when I learn it? What will be the reward?

17 You should answer the questions: What do I lose if I decide not to learn this? What are the consequences if I do not learn this?

18 Exercise Please find 15 arguments why somebody should learn this, why is it important to learn this?

19 The teacher again and again should remind his/her students why they learn, how we can use this knowledge in life, how is this knowledge useful in life, why this knowledge is important, why is knowledge important. 20 Influential teacher can use emotional arguments. Influential teacher uses the language of emotions. He/she knows how important arguments are, but also what kind of language we use. And if our language is connected with emotions it is more influential. If you can move one's heart, not only mind, you have a greater impact.
