Man kind is tearing the world apart through pollution and global warming

All the trees are cut down, except for one, showing that there is still time to fix the problem

Birds symbolize hope White symbolizes good and black symbolizes bad

MESSAGE: Our community needs to take action on the problem of global warming and pollution because it is negatively affecting the environment, and we will soon suffer the consequences if there is no change. Everything is proportionate to show how everything and everyone is equal

CCLAPS Character: There are no human characters in the picture to emphasize how the earth is overrun by mechanics, and there is an absence of natural things. There is an absence of animals, and it only shows 1 polar bear and 1 penguin in the top of the hourglass to show how animals will not be part of our world if we allow global warming to progress. Color: The use of brighter colors in the top of the hourglass emphasize the life on Earth. However, in the bottom of the hourglass, the colors are much more dull, and the water and air are gray from the pollution we caused.

CCLAPS Light: There seems to be a lack of light sources to symbolize how there is no hope for a change in the problem of pollution unless we take action. Angle: The straightforward angle is symbolic for how “straightforward” the message they are trying to convey is -- “We are running out of time. Act now before it is too late.” This angle allows the viewer to see two different perspectives -- one being our everyday environment and the other being the Arctic and Antarctica. The viewer can see how the ice from our oceans are melting and the water from the top of the hourglass is slowly dripping down to our environment. This demonstrates how our ignorant actions are affecting lives elsewhere.

CCLAPS Proportion: Everything is proportionate to one another to show how everyone and everything is equal, whether they are a human being or an animal or a tree. We are not more important than other things on this Earth, and we won’t even matter if Earth is no longer habitable from our destruction.

CCLAPS Placement: Rizkiyanto places a both a penguin whose home is in Antarctica and a polar bear whose home is in the Arctic on opposite sides of the top of the hourglass to show two different homes of animals that are affected by global warming. The land in the bottom of the hourglass shaped like a globe of the earth is being split in half by a man made road, and the trees on the side are chopped down to symbolize Earth being torn apart by man. There are also cars and buildings releasing exhaust fumes into the air. He places oil spills, plastic bottles, and cans in the water to depict an image of our planet being trashed. Setting: The image takes place on planet Earth right now. Two different environments, the Arctic/Antarctica and our communities are enclosed in an hourglass to symbolize how we are trapped in a situation where we are running out of time.
