4 Proposed Solution Provide ongoing education and training as a strategy for reducing and eliminating health disparities Educate and train allied health/social work majors and community partners on the use of the NLM on line resources

6 Methodology Pre/post surveys provided quantitative data Focus group sessions and homework assignments provided descriptive qualitative data Data were analyzed using SPSS software

18 Accomplishments Students  Before training: 18% had heard of NLM online resources and 7% had used the databases  After training: 97% reported raised awareness of and an increased ability to use the NLM databases

19 Accomplishments MSW students incorporated the MedlinePlus database into their final class project MSW student provided NLM training to the staff at her field placement agency Community agency added the NLM website to their list of resources
