2 85 MILLION IMPACTED 30 DEATHS LOSSESD IN MULTI- BILLION DOLLARS

3 SNOW IMPACTS The snowstorm was the biggest ever recorded for three cities — Baltimore (29.2 inches), Allentown, Pa. (31.9) and Harrisburg, Pa. (34).

4 SNOW IMPACTS The National Weather Service said. New York City picked up 26.8 inches of snow, missing its all-time record by one-tenth of an inch.

5 SNOW IMPACTS SCHOOLS CLOSED BUSINESSES CLOSED “STAY HOME” ADVISORY

6 TIDAL IMPACTS New Jersey experienced flooding in the usual places from the higher than usual tides that were exacerbated by the high velocity winds.

7 IMPACTS The deaths occurred in car accidents, stranded motorists from carbon monoxide poisoning, and from heart attacks while shoveling snow.

10 TRAVEL IMPACTS Several of the USA’s busiest airports lost an entire day’s schedule during the peak of the storm. Overall, more than 12,000 flights were canceled nationwide since Friday, causing a ripple effect that extended throughout the airlines' networks.

11 TRAVEL IMPACTS (RECOVERY DELAYED) More than 1,300 flights scheduled for Monday have already been canceled.

12 TRAVEL IMPACTS (RECOVERY BEGINS) Washington, D.C.'s Metro transit system was expected to reopen on a limited basis Monday morning. Airports in New York and Philadelphia will operate, but with greatly reduced schedules.
