3. Why is pregnancy important in a relationship? Pregnancy- the physical condition of a woman or female animal carrying unborn offspring inside her body, from fertilization to birth. The key in pregnancy is proximity, how close are we to God? Genesis 4:1- Do we know God? Are we close enough to carry an unborn child but resistant to go through the process of giving birth? Many of us have remained in the state of pregnancy far too long for fear of giving birth!- “Post-Mature Christians” Why are we afraid to give birth? (Spiritually) Fear of commitment- Galatians 5:24-25 Fear of change Fear of ridicule The causes of post-term births are unknown, but post-mature births are more likely when the mother has experienced a previous post-mature birth. Post- mature births can also be attributed to irregular cycles. 5. Why give birth? The process of giving birth (duplicating oneself) is one of the primary reasons we were created and called by God. Romans 10:14-15 (Preach (use your gift)) If we don’t give birth we stop the development of an entire Generation. James 2:8 (Love them) Giving birth allows us to see the result of our efforts and the completion of His promises.
