Focus 6/9 Many Asian dynasties have contributed greatly to global history. The establishment of the Silk Road by the Han Dynasty increased trade between Asia and the Middle East. China also developed the compass, gunpowder, and the rudder which aided in the European Age of Exploration. The Gupta Empire of India contributed to the fields of math and medicine. Objectives: Identify and analyze key contributions of the Tang, Song, Gupta, Japan, and Mongolian Empires.
