8 INDICES OF MULTIPLE DEPRIVATION Trafford sits in the middle quintile for overall deprivation. This hides significant inequalities, where there are areas in the 5% most deprived nationally (Partington) within 5 miles of areas in the 5% least deprived (Hale)

9 Childhood obesity is measured in Reception (age 5, left) and Year 6 (age 10, right). Trafford averages are around 7% for Reception, and 16% for Year 6 CHILDHOOD OBESITY

10 NEET Trafford has relatively few NEET, compared to National and Regional averages, at around 4/5% (around 400 young people). There are, however, pockets where levels are much higher.
