3 Cell Structures Nucleus- an organelle of a cell that controls everything the cell does Cytoplasm- the gel-like liquid that fills a cell Cell membrane- a soft, flexible covering that controls what enters and leaves a cell Vacuole- a storage space within a cell

5 What is the difference between a plant and animal cell? Animal Cell An animal cell has a cell membrane, nucleus, vacuole, and cytoplasm. Plant Cell A plant cell has a cell membrane, nucleus, vacuole, and cytoplasm. They also contain a: cell wall- the outer layer of a plant cell that gives the cell structure and support Chloroplast- a structure that contains chlorophyll and is found in the cells of plants
