What is swing dancing?  Swing dancing is a type of dancing developed in the 1920s that people do to swing music  There are many different types of swing dancing: Balboa, Shag, East Coast, West Coast, Lindy Hop  Here’s a video of people swing dancing East Coast. 3. How I got started swing dancing  My friend, Kathy, wanted to date a boy named Eric  Eric liked to swing dance, so Kathy wanted to learn how to dance  We went to a restaurant named Tio Lea’s that had a band  I walked in, saw the dancers, and knew I would dance forever

4. What more?  I started teaching East Coast swing all over San Diego.  I have traveled to many different cities and two countries for swing dance.  I met my husband, Dr. Kinseth, at a swing dance at Portuguese Hall.
