The gear, symbolic of the industrial society, denotes the interdependence and cooperation of the individual working with labor and management for the betterment of mankind.” The Gear

The hands portray a search for knowledge and our desire to acquire a skill. Red and white represent the individual states and the chapters; blue represents the common union of the states and the chapters; and gold represents the individual, the most important element of SkillsUSA.” The Colors

12 Approval of Meeting Minutes Secretary reads the minutes from the last meeting to ensure they are correct If incorrect, raise your hand, get recognized and state what needs to be fixed

13 Officer & Committee Reports Officers and Committee Chairs will report what has been going on in their area If something comes up that should be acted on, make a motion by stating: “I move we (state what should be done)”

14 Unfinished Business Business that was not finished at the last business meeting If something comes up that should be acted on, make a motion by stating: “I move we (state what should be done)”

15 New Business Business that has not been brought up at a previous meeting. This is where YOUR ideas can go to action. If you think the chapter should do something, make a motion by stating: “I move we (state what should be done)”

17 Announcements Information provided to members from officers, chairs, other members, or advisors No motions allowed
