2 Coffee is the world's second most valuable traded commodity after oil. Coffee is the 2nd most consumed drink after water An average of more than 275 million people consuming coffee every day

3 The London-based market intelligence firm Euromonitor International, stated in a report in 2013 that the UAE is: “the fastest growing market for coffee in the world.” EUROMONITOR has projected growth in total coffee volume sales at 80 percent Between 2009 and 2014, with average annual growth of 12 percent. “ The United Arab Emirates represents the fastest-growing market by volume for coffee in the world” stated Euromonitor in its 2013 report. Despite that fact that “more than 50 percent of the UAE’s population” hails from East Asia and the Indian subcontinent with a consumer base that favours tea over coffee, the growth in coffee has primarily been driven by the emerging café culture and rising per capita income.
