4 Using Formulas Goal: 1.Plugging numbers into formulas. We use formulas to calculate values. 2.Use the formula d = rt to solve for different values.

5 Vocabulary Formula – is an equation that shows the relationship between quantities represented by variables. Distance traveled: d = rt (rate X time)  ALL FORMULA PROBLEMS are solved the same way. PLUG what you know into the formula. SOLVE for what you don’t know.
