1 Word & Windows Terminology Review

2 1. Provides one-click access to common commands you use frequently. In the Business Lab some of the commands you will find on this bar are “New”, “Open”, “Save”, & “Quick Print”.

3 2. This is used to SUPER shrink the active window down to the taskbar. The window is represented only by a title bar on the taskbar. It is OPEN but not active.

4 3. One of the top bars in Microsoft Word. It identifies the name of the program (Microsoft Word) and the document (filename).

5 4. This will allow the user to change the size of the view on the monitor (this does not change the size of the print that will show up on the final copy from the printer). When working in Microsoft Word, users should set this at PAGE WIDTH to view the document in the document window.

6 5. One-click used to close the active window which includes the program and the document.

7 6. Used to bring the active window to its maximum (or largest) size to fill the monitor or screen.

8 7. This term identifies the pointer on the mouse when it is moving around within the document window. It tells the user “You can type here.”

9 8. This is used to reduce the size of the active window so that you may view multiple windows. The window is Open AND Active.
